This project continued the Conejos Whole River Strategy, automating the Richfield, Salazar, and Valdez diversions and improving gauge measurements at the Confluence (ConConCo). During low flows, when accurate readings to meet Compact requirements are most needed, the ConConCo gauge does not function, limiting the Division of Water Resources’ ability to get a viable discharge measurement. This project upgraded the performance and accuracy of the flow sensors by building a low-flow conveyance structure and stabilizing and restoring stream health and connectivity.
