Phase 2 of the Plaza Project improved the diversion efficiency and reduced maintenance of the McDonald Ditch diversion, at the County Road 5N bridge. The project constructed a new concrete headgate and boat-passable diversion, complete with a fish ladder. 2,000 linear feet of streambanks were stabilized to reduce sedimentation and improve aquatic and riparian habitat. Two acres of wetland were also reclaimed.
Phase III: Prairie Ditch Implementation Project

Phase III of the Plaza Project improved the diversion efficiency and reduced maintenance of the Prairie Ditch, just downstream of the County Road 5N bridge. The push-up dam was replaced with a grouted rock, fish- and boat-passable structure, while the old headgate was replaced with a new concrete headgate and trash rack. 1,000 feet of streambank were also stabilized.
